Ouch! Sonam Kapoor Saves Jacqueline Fernandez From Big Wardrobe Malfunction

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez had an oops! moment at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards nominations bash held at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Mumbai on Wednesday. But she was saved the blushes by her BFF Sonam Kapoor. 

Jacqueline Fernandez was walking the carpet and posing for the shutterbugs when something at the back of her black Emilio Pucci mini gave away. Instead of running for cover, Jacqueline Fernandez enlisted her best friend and fashion co-conspirator Sonam Kapoor to fix the glitch. 

Like a true friend, Sonam stepped behind Jackky and got busy mending the wardrobe malfunction. Aware that the paparazzi were clicking them, the huddled girls were all giggles. Jackky knew she was in good hands, and all it took Sonam is a few minutes to repair the snag. 

Sonam Kapoor seemed to be making sure Jacqueline Fernandez's dress wasn't going to fall apart. 

 Sonam Kapoor was in a naughty mood when she caught up with new BFF Jacqueline Fernandez at the pre-Filmfare awards bash. Just what was she doing in this picture?

Fashionista Sonam Kapoor's Photoshoot For Disney's "Khoobsurat" Remake — Video!

Here is a photoshoot of fashionista Sonam Kapoor for Disney and her upcoming film Khoobsurat.

Walt Disney Studios has announced their next film Khoobsurat, a wholesome family entertainer in association with actor-producer Anil Kapoor and producer Rhea Kapoor. The film is being directed by writer and an ace Ad-film Director Shashank Ghosh and will star Sonam Kapoor in a lead role.

 The film has great ensemble cast which includes Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah and Amir Raza Hussain. Khoobsurat narrates the story of Mili (Sonam Kapoor) – an exuberant, vivacious and fun girl who turns the lives of a royal family upside down.

“For a long time now we were looking for a script with Disney’s values and we’re happy to have found that in Khoobsurat. A delightful film, I believe that Khoobsurat is entertainment with a heart. We are also looking forward to working with Anil Kapoor Film Company on this lovely film,” said Rucha Pathak, Senior Creative Director – Studios, Disney UTV.

“We are so excited to bring you Khoobsurat with Disney India. Disney always stood for wholesome and heartwarming entertainment and we look forward to creating that with this film as well. Shashank’s take on the film is unexpected, colourful and fun everything you find in your favourite Disney movie!” added producer Rhea Kapoor.

The film went on the floors recently in Bikaner, Rajasthan and will hit the screens in mid-2014.

Sonam Kapoor Lights Up India International Jewellery Week 2013 Grand Finale

The excitement of bling and bigwigs finally came to a grand end on Day 5 of the India International Jewellery Week on Thursday. In a fitting finale to the fourth edition of the event, held at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai, actors Sonam Kapoor and Chitrangada Singh walked the ramp flaunting some of the best looks of the past week.

And as if star power wasn't enough, couturier JJ Valaya added an extra edge of glamour with his latest range of formal ethnic wear that featured sari, lehenga s and kurti combos.

Two shows were held on the last day, showcasing one key look from each participating jewellery brand. Rather than focusing entirely on bridal looks, the pieces included necklace bibs, maang tikka's, diamond sets, polki sets, mangalsutra s and avant garde metal masks.

Style icon Sonam was the showstopper for the first show and looked elegant and fresh in a textured orange crepe sari and sleeveless blouse teamed with a diamond, emerald, pearl and gold necklace and baju bandh . She wore her hair partly pinned up with the remaining tresses cascading down her shoulders.

She added to the glam hair- do with a massive maang tikka and earrings set in gold and emeralds.Completing the look were a gold floral bracelet and bracelet ring.

The other cynosure of the evening was diva Chitrangada Singh, who walked the ramp in a maroon off- shoulder gown paired with a huge polki raani haar , earrings and cuffs.

While the Rajasthani beauty looked charismatic as always with her high cheek bones and characteristic bangs, the red embroidered tulle dress didn't do her justice.
