Soha Ali Khan Follows Mom Sharmila Tagore's FootSteps : Dons A Bikini in Mr Joe B Carvalho

Back in the '60s veteran actress Sharmila Tagore dared to wear a swimsuit on-camera for 'An Evening in Paris', and so started a trend that sees no end. She stirred things up a little more by following that up with a photo shoot for a magazine. She wore only a bikini.

Cut to 2013, her daughter Soha Ali Khan was also spotted wearing a blue bikini for her upcoming movie 'Mr Joe B Carvalho'. We're sure she didn't have to look too far to inspiration.

For an actress with a nine-year-old filmy career, this is the first time Soha's worn a bikini. Over a casual conversation, she reportedly let director Samir Tiwari know she'd like to wear a bikini from her own personal collection. She may not have strong acting chops, but styling sure seems like her forte.

When asked why she chose to wear a two-piece now, given how B-grade starlets think this is the only way to make a statement in Bollywood and make yourself known, the actress reportedly said that the 'need' didn't arise before. That is until a scene in 'Mr Joe B Carvalho' where she was asked to choose between a swimsuit and a bikini. No prizes for guessing for she chose.

While most well-fed (on publicity!) actresses these days put a lot into eating right and toning up before such a daring stint, Soha reportedly didn't think twice before 'diving' in to a bikini.

Like a true royal, indeed.

Mr Joe B Carvalho First Official Teaser Out - Watch

Arshad Warsi is back again with a rib tickler, but this time in a detective role. His partner in investigation is Soha Ali Khan.

The 60-second long trailer of the film titled "Mr Joe B Carvalho" gives a rough insight into the film's plot that includes several hilarious situations and funny one-liners as Arshad takes on an investigation. The comedy caper also features Shakti Kapoor and funnyman Javed Jaffery in supporting roles.

The film will see Soha slipping into a bikini for the first time on screen, drawing an immediate comparison with her mother Sharmila Tagore's two-piece that became an instant rage in the 1960s. A passing shot of Soha's bikini scene is also included in the teaser.

The film may also remind one of Hollywood flick "Johhny English". Rowan Atkisnson of "Mr Bean" fame played a detective who despite all the goof-ups managed to solve his case.

The Arshad starrer is the first of the many Bollywood films which are to follow in the same genre. Incidentally, Ranbir Kapoor's "Jagga Jassos", Sushant Singh Rajput's 'Byomkesh Bakshia" and another Vidya Balan film all fall in the same genre and are slated for a 2014 release.
