OMG! Shraddha Kapoor Ditched By Her Driver; Surprised Airport Staff Organized A Cab For Her

Shraddha landed at the Mumbai Airport on Monday night, and to her surprise: her driver didn’t arrive to pick her up. Dressed casually in a long skirt and top with a scarf around her neck, the airport staff too was surprised to spot the stranded Aashiqui 2 star. They came to instant rescue of the beautiful actress, and organized a cab for her.

The cab driver had an eventful day, and has a story to tell his friends for coming many days. As news of stranded Shraddha Kapoor spread, hard-working paparazzis reached the spot, and clicked pictures. Shraddha even posed with the airport staff, and made sure everyone got the picture.

Shraddha Kapoor is currently also in news for her upcoming film The Villain. She is paired opposite Sidharth Malhotra, who made his debut with Karan Johar’s hit Student Of The Year alongside Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Shraddha and Sidharth will be sharing screen for the first time in The Villain.

Recently, Shraddha tweeted the first look from the film, where she is seen riding a bike with Sidharth Malhotra. The Villain is a romantic film, produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, directed by Mohit Suri. The film also features Riteish Deshmukh in a negative role.

Shraddha said that she was very comfortable riding the bike. She would say ‘Jai Mata Di’ when the director said ‘action’ for the scenes where she was required to ride the bike alone. The film is being shot in Goa, and portions will be also be shot in Mumbai and Bangkok.

The Villain is scheduled to arrive in 2014.

Cool Shraddha Kapoor In Tough Action For Upcoming Movie — The Villain

 Mumbai: Newbie actress Shraddha Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned for her upcoming film with Mohit Suri, tentatively titled 'The Villain', and is learning how to ride a bike for it.

Siddharth Malhotra and Shraddha have been paired opposite each other for the first time in this Balaji Motion Pictures produced romantic thriller film.

Both Siddharth and Shraddha tasted success with their last films 'Student of the Year' and 'Aashiqui 2' respectively.

Shraddha is practising how to ride a bike in the by-lanes of Mumbai's Juhu locality and has been a quick learner, sources said.

She is even contemplating buying a bike given her enthralling experience, the source added.

Happy days are here for the petite pretty and gentle Shraddha Kapoor. Last year she was struggling, auditioning ferociously for roles and getting rejected. One such role was that in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali production My Friend Pinto which went to Kalki Koechlin

And now Shraddha, in all humility, is all set to do Bhansali's production Gabbar opposite Akshay Kumar.

Sounding humbled rather than vindicated, Shraddha says, "Times change. It's taken a lot of hard work to get out of the struggler's space. It was very difficult to break out of the struggle. But that period of uncertainty will always be cherished. I've learnt to expect the unexpected in life. Because anything can happen."

Now she's looked on with different eyes. "Yes, the film industry's attitude towards me has changed. There is a drastic change. From flop I've gone to flip (laughs). It feels nice to be finally appreciated. When someone like Anurag Basu called me to tell me he absolutely loved me in Aashiqui 2, it feels very encouraging."

Shraddha feels Aashiqui 2 couldn't have happened at a better time. "You know, in spite of being from a film family I had to go through that whole struggle to find a place. I think that struggle has made me a better person and a better actress. There were days when I'd audition while my faithful sets of friends patiently waited. Then I'd come away without grabbing the role. Of course it hurt. But my family and friends were there to hold my hand. And how would I enjoy the current phase of positivity if I didn't have the other experience of failure?"

There were many humiliating experiences, like a film where Shraddha actually signed and shot before she was replaced. But she would rather not dwell on the dark. "Finally it's talent that counts. I truly believe your talent will be spotted sooner or later. Of course it helped that producers knew me as Shakti Kapoor's daughter. But I've done so many auditions where I've been rejected. I don't hold any grudges. Who knows, I might be working with the very people who replaced me."

Shraddha has just returned from Kashmir from the shooting of Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider.

And she can't stop raving about the Valley. "It is definitely heaven on earth. That Kashmir is part of India is our good fortune. Though my parents made sure that I travelled extensively as a child this was my first visit to Kashmir. And to see the unsurpassable beauty first-hand just took my breath away. The best thing about the movie business is that you get to travel a lot. And when you get to travel to Kashmir for a Vishal Bhardwaj film to do Shakespeare, it's like three levels of nirvana."

Cautious and committed, Shraddha clams up about Haider. "We've done just one ten- day schedule and we go back for another in January. Right now I've two choices. I could go on and on about the film or I could wait to have a more cohesive perception on the experience. So I'll just say, Haider will take me to another level after Aashiqui 2."

Besides Haider and Gabbar, Shraddha is also doing Mohit Suri's The Villain.

"I had a wish-list of directors when I started out. Vishal Bhardwaj and Mohit Suri were on the list. So now I've ticked two names in my list, a double trick before Mohit's name. Though it brings back the complete Aashiqui team barring Aditya Roy Kapur, The Villain is a completely new experience. Even our DOP is the same. It's like coming home again. The only newbie in the group is Sidharth Malhotra."

So if Sidharth plays the villain does Shraddha play the vamp?

Scandalized by the suggestion, the prim actress replies, "Goodness me! Everyone will know in due course what I play The Villain."

Hot Shraddha Kapoor Inaugurates Forever 21 Store - Photos

Aashiqui 2 innocent beauty Shraddha Kapoor inaugurated the Forever 21 store in Mumbai, on Saturday, October 12. 

Interacting with the media, Shraddha Kapoor said: “I love the clothes that Forever 21 makes, specially the fact that they offer so much variety to choose from: different prints, styles, fits. I think that is a very great thing about the brand.” 

She also talked about her upcoming film The Villain and said: “I am very excited about The Villain because immediately after Aashiqui 2, I get to work with Mohit Suri. He has been one of my dream directors that I have been wanting to work with and I think it is going to be a lot of fun...We are about to begin the shooting soon.”

Innocent Shraddha Kapoor Fires on The Cover of Grazia

Shraddha Kapoor, having just returned from a vacation in Europe, is relaxed and bubbling over with stories about her trip. She travelled solo to Paris, on the last leg of her trip, and it gave her time to think about – among other things – love. She says, “It was liberating to travel alone, and I see a lot of that coming!

 I was thinking about it on my trip – the whole idea of sharing your life with someone, it’s so rare nowadays, na? Everyone thinks they want more, even marriage is not enough. That sort of commitment is not enough. How will you make it last?”

Before finding herself mulling over eternal love in the city of romance, Shraddha attended the Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium and hopped over to Amsterdam with friends. The papers are rife with rumours that Aditya Roy Kapoor had accompanied her.

 So, to cut to the chase, is she seeing her dashing co-star from Aashiqui 2? “Currently, I am single,” Shraddha insists. “I’ve never been in a serious relationship. The whole idea of having a companion for life sounds like the best thing in the world. I think people who have found it are very lucky. I wouldn’t say I’m looking for love, but I wouldn’t mind if love surprises me.”
