Angelina Jolie is Magnificent As Maleficent — Watch Trailer

Angelina Jolie playing Maleficent might be Disney’s best pairing of actor and role since Johnny Depp played a certain pirate.

Of course, Disney had to be dragged kicking and screaming into accepting Depp’s eccentric performance as Capt. Jack Sparrow — until it made them billions of dollars. Jolie’s portrayal isn’t likely to ruffle as many feathers, especially since she looks amazing as the Sleeping Beauty villain who curses the young Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning.)

In the new poster, there’s no denying who the star of the film is: Jolie wears the horned headdress that her green-faced character was famous for in the 1959 animated movie. But it’s her piercing green eyes that force your heart to skip a beat.

Maleficent, which is Jolie’s first on-screen role in three and a half years, opens May 30. Here’s the official plot synopsis: “A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal — an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom — and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.”

Taylor Swift Sets Record With Six Songwriting Awards

The 23-year-old chart-topping artist also became the youngest artist to win the most awards.

Though Taylor Swift has been wracking up plenty of trophies over the years, the newest honor bestowed upon the Red songstress is her sixth "Songwriter/Artist of the Year" award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International. This also means that the 23-year-old singer is making history as the first artist to be named Songwriter of the Year this many times. She beat out five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson. She is also the youngest songwriter to win this honor.

This award honors artists in Nashville, Tennessee, that have garnered Top 30 singles. From July 2012 to July 2013, Taylor Swift has release 14 Top 30 songs.

This latest award will join her five others, all of which will be on display at the Taylor Swift Education Center opening this Saturday at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Swift also made a $4 million donation to the center.

Her six awards will be displayed at the Taylor Swift Education Center, which opens Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. The 23-year-old singer donated $4 million to the center.

The opening of the center was originally slated for "early 2014," but is now able to open months in advance. This is perfect timing to place all six of her NSAI awards on display in the newly opened center.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International annual awards and induction ceremony will take place the day after the Taylor Swift Education Center opens on Sunday evening at the Music City Center.

Miley Cyrus Twerks And Rounchy During ‘We Can't Stop’ Performance At VMA 2013 - Video

Miley caught the crowd’s attention when she stripped down to sing ‘Blurred Lines’ with Robin Thicke at the VMAs, AND she danced sexily with a bunch of stuffed animals for her performance of ‘We Can’t Stop.’ Was this the most shocking performance of the night?

Miley Cyrus sure loves twerking, but who could ever have imagined she would twerk for Robin Thicke! After arriving wearing a crazy, bejeweled outfit on the red carpet at the 2013 MTV VMAs, Miley stripped down to her underwear to sing “Blurred Lines” with Robin, where she did some seriously dirty dancing. Watch her performance below!

Miley Cyrus Performance MTV VMAs

After a weird intro from Shailene Woodly, Miley emerged onto the stage from inside a giant teddy bear. Wearing a swimsuit, Miley sang “We Can’t Stop” and danced with a bunch of over sized stuffed animals. It was both amazing and insane!

Miley twerked and gyrated, and then stripped down to a two piece. She was joined by Robin, and they duetted on his hit “Blurred Lines,” and I must admit, it was pretty wild watching her twerk for a man so much older than her!

The crowd seemed to love Miley’s over sexualized performance!

Miley Cyrus Alone At MTV VMAs — Where Is Liam Hemsworth?

Quite unsurprisingly, Miley walked the red carpet at the Barclays Center alone.

Miley, 20, walked the carpet in a black and crystalized outfit, with her producer Mike Will Made It. In a rather wacky ensemble, Miley smiled and posed for the cameras, showing no sign whether she was upset to be without her fiance Liam Hemsworth.

Miley has been gearing up for highly talked about performance at the show, so it is most shocking that Liam would not be there to support her on her big night….

Liam and Miley were last seen together at the Aug. 8 premiere of Liam’s new film Paranoia, where they barely talked or touched all night. Miley supported Liam for his big career moment, so why was he not present for hers?
