Priyanka Chopra & Ram Charan Kicks On Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 - Video

It’s an action packed weekend filled with special guests, comic dancing and a few surprise acts on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6.

This week’s theme ‘teen ka tadka’ began with Bharti Singh’s entry as a host with Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma. All eyes darted from Bharti to judge Remo D’souza ‘coz of their obvious…ahem … relationship.

Last week itself the names of the tadkas who were to join the contestants was revealed to us. But we were not told who will be partnering up with whom. Nonetheless we had a clue; Sanaya Irani joined hands with Drashti Dhami, Darsheel Safary with Sonali-Sumanth, Mumaith did the Lungi dance with Sana Saeed, Rithvik Dhanjani who grooved with Lauren Gottileb and Punit did a comic act enacting Madhuri Dixit, Remo and Karan Johar. Hazel Keech joined Shaan’s team while Ragini Khanna did a sizzling act with Mukti Mohan.

To make the dance reality show more special and to promote their upcoming movie Zanjeer, Priyanka Chopra and South sensation Ram Charan Teja made an appearance. While PC was as usual her bubbly self, Ram Charan kept his speech to the minimum.

Priyanka And Parineeti Chopra Will Watch Each Other's Movies On 'Chopra Weekend'

Priyanka Chopra's Zanjeer remake and her cousin, actress Parineeti Chopra's romantic-comedy Shuddh Desi Romance are set to clash at the box office on September 6. But the Desi Girl is unfazed and calls it a 'Chopra weekend'. 

"The way I see it, it's a Chopra weekend. So go and enjoy the movies," Priyanka told reporters here on Wednesday, while promoting Disney's animation film Planes, for which she has lent her voice.

"She (Parineeti) is my family and she is my sister," she added.

Produced by Amit Mehra and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Zanjeer is a remake of 1973 film of the same name and features southern star Ram Charan Teja with Priyanka.

On the other hand, Shuddh Desi Romance features two film old Parineeti with Sushant Singh Rajput. It also features veteran actor Rishi Kapoor in a key role.

"I think it is very cheap when people try and use that (same day release of our films) for creating some sort of interesting controversy, so that you can write a bit more about it," the 31-year-old said.

Meanwhile, Parineeti, who is busy promoting her film these days, is also unfazed about it and is looking forward to watch Zanjeer.

"It's just happens that her (Priyanka) film and my film are releasing together, but it doesn't affect us. I will watch her picture and she will watch mine and you all will watch both the films," she said.

Shuddh Desi Romance, directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, also features newcomer Vaani Kapoor.

Mahie Gill Gets Fleshly Makeover For 'Zanjeer' Remake - Read!

Fashion designer Pria Kataria Puri has styled Priyanka Chopra and Mahie Gill for the "Zanjeer" remake and reveals that the latter, who plays Mona Darling in the action-thriller, will be seen in a sensuous yet sophisticated diva.

Often seen sporting the desi look in films like "Dev D", "Paan Singh Tomar" and "Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster" series, the film has many firsts for Mahie.

"We coloured her hair, she had never coloured her hair. She had never worn heels, but we got custom heels made for her that were 7-8 inches high to give her that diva look. We made her wear everything from a swimsuit to a see-through kaftan to sexy tight dresses," Pria said here Wednesday at the model audition for Lakme Fashion Week.

"But we have presented her in a very classy, sophisticated way. She has been shown as a very sensuous, sexy woman who follows today's fashion...We have shown her as a diva," she added.

In the original "Zanjeer", Bindu starred as Mona, the don's moll, while Ajit played the villain and Amitabh Bachchan was the protagonist. Pran too featured in the film as a loyal Pathan friend.

Pria said it was great styling Mahie as she came with a clean slate and gave her free hand to experiment with her look the way she wanted.

"It was very exciting for me because Mahie has not been presented that way and I prefer people who come with a blank canvas, so that I can draw what I want to. If they are good actors, they take it like a sponge," said the designer.

"Really fun and very easy to do looks for Mahie because she said to me 'Priya, you do what you want to do. You want to colour my hair, cut my hair.' So we actually had a full transition on her," she added.

Being directed by Apurva Lakhia, "Zanjeer 2" also stars southern actor Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Raj and Atul Kulkarni.

The film is slated for a Sep 6 release and the promos will go on air July 6.
