First Look Revealed of "Action Jackson" — Ajay Devgn Grooves With Prabhu Dheva

Action man Ajay Devgn will be matching steps with dancing sensation PrabhuDheva, and grooving to the tunes of Himesh Reshammiya, in his forthcoming film Action Jackson, that’s been directed by PrabhuDheva himself.

Apart from Ajay Devgn, Action Jackson also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam and Kunal Roy Kapoor.  

The movie’s technical crew includes Ravi Verman (Action), Vishnu Deva (Choreographer), Vijay Kumar Arora (DOP) and R K Nagu (Art).

Action Jackson is set to release on June 06, 2014 and is Produced by Gordhan Tanwani under his banner Baba Arts Limited Production and distributed by Eros International.

Television has often been considered a stepping-stone for actors to enter Bollywood. Will the new generation of leading ladies make it to the big screen?

While we’ve seen the hunks of tellyland making a mark in B-town, the women have for the most part been left far behind. But that in no way means they can’t make it - after all, Vidya Balan started her career with a role in a TV show called Hum Paanch, right? We have heard several stories about how at a recent event Shahrukh Khan spotted Ankita Lokhande and wanted her to be a part of his new movie directed by Farah Khan, Happy New Year. Then there is Pratyusha Banerjee, who claims to want to use the ticket to the Bigg Boss house to find better opportunities in Bollywood, while popular actor Jennifer Winget has also been trying to catch the attention of moviemakers to take a leap from daily soaps to films. But how many of them will make it?

Aamna Shariff

Ekta Kapoor put her on the map with the show Kahiin Toh Hoga, post which Aamna decided to take a break to give her movie career a chance. After three consecutive failures in Aloo Chaat, Aao Wish Karein and Shakal Pe Mat Ja, Aamna decided to return to TV. The actor is currently looking for work; clearly it hardly matters whether it is for TV or films now, does it!

Ankita Lokhande

What happened in Macau clearly worked wonders for Ankita Lokhande. It seems that at the IIFA concluding bash, Shahrukh spotted Ankita in the arms of her beau, Sushant Singh Rajput and requested his director Farah Khan to cast her in their film Happy New Year. This was indeed a big high for the Pavitra Rishta lady. However, if recent rumours are to be believed, Deepika Padukone has been signed on as the main lead opposite SRK. Nonetheless, popular belief is that Ankita still has a chance to be a part of the project as the second or third lead heroine.

Jennifer Winget

Mrs Karan Singh Grover has been trying her hand at film auditions for some time now, but none have worked out for her. Apparently Jennifer was also one of the names considered for Happy New Year opposite Shahrukh. Director-choreographer Farah Khan said that everything depended on the audition, which Jennifer is yet to give. The beautiful babe has been getting offers from producers for small budget movies.

Pratyusha Banerjee

Reality TV is the best medium for a star to find the limelight. And if a show is anything as controversial as Bigg Boss, even better. The delicate darling of the telly industry has been dropping hints about her dreams to do movies some day. She recently confessed in an interview that she hopes to use the opportunity of Bigg Boss as a platform to make an entry into movies. Will it work? That remains to be seen. Meanwhile, we hope that her stint on BB7 doesn't ruin her chances of stardom completely.

Mona Singh

After Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Mona Singh hosted several shows, but Bollywood finally caught up with her when she played a pivotal role in Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots. Mona did a few more blink and miss roles, like in Utt Patang and Zila Ghaziabad, but is that the end of the filmi road for her? After 3 idiots, the actor waited for a long time for her next film, during which break she did another TV show, Kyaa Huaa Tera Vaada. We hope the actor gets better and more worthy roles in the future - we wouldn't want to see such amazing talent wasted, no?

Yami Gautam

The Fair and Lovely model has two popular TV shows to her credit, but her real dream was Bollywood, which came true with John Abraham’s Vicky Donor. The actor became a star overnight, even though the movie belonged almost entirely to Ayushmann Khuranna. Yami made her mark and producers began to line up outside her door with movie offers. Yami signed a project in the South and Hamara Bajaj in Bollywood. Let’s hope her lucky streak continues to take her further.

Yami Gautam Busy In Work-Out To Stay Fit

Yami Gautam is apparently working towards achieving an athletic body. Whether it's for a role or not, however, is still not known. While she's a regular with her hot yoga classes, the actress has also lately taken to Tri X.

Yami has been busy training in TRX and she ensures that she doesn't miss a single day of working out. She feels it provides a complete workout and it is more effective than traditional weight training.

The Vicky Donor actress is also geared for her second Bollywood release Aman Ki Asha, where she is paired opposite Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar. She is also excited about Prabhudheva's next opposite Ajay Devgn.

This year's hosts Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor gave some lessons to newcomers like Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput and Ayushmann Khurrana.

Pritam won the Best Music Director Award for Barfi.

English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde bagged the Best Debut Director Award.

Veteran Actor Anupam Kher was also honoured at the award show. 

Actress Yami Gautam won the Best Debut Award in the female category for Vicky Donor.

For Ayushmann Khurrana it was a dream come true as he bagged the trophy for Best Debut in male category for Vicky Donor. He said: "It feels like I am living in a dream. This is going to be my last debut award. In future, if I don't get any award I will be happy in every situation."

Comedian-anchor Annu Kapoor won the award for Best Supporting Actor (Male) for his role in Vicky Donor. 

Anushka Sharma is happy to bag the award for Best Supporting Actor (Female) for Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Anushka received the award from Sridevi and Boney Kapoor.

Abhishek Bachchan won the award for the Best Actor in comic role for his rib-tickling act in Bol Bachchan. 

Ex couple Ranbir and Deepika Padukone won the Best Jodi Award. Deepika, on accepting the award, said, "I love Ranbir and am missing him." 

Ranbir, who was widely praised for his performance in 'Barfi!' was named Best Actor for his act of a deaf-mute boy act. As he was not present at the ceremony film's director Anurag Basu accepted the award. 

Anurag Basu's romantic-comedy 'Barfi!', which won many awards throughout the year, bagged the Best Film, Director and Story Awards at the 14th edition of the Bollywood extravaganza leaving behind Agneepath, Vicky Donor and Gangs of Wasseypur.

Yami Gautam Is Still Camera Shy? We Can't Believe!

Hailing from Chandigarh, Yami Gautam had not even imagined in the wildest of her dreams that she would make it into mainstream commercial films!

In a candid chat with CS, Yami talks about the changes in her life, life after Vicky Donor and juggling between Bollywood and South Indian films:

Acting by chance

When I was in college, I never thought I would work in films. I hadn't even planned to become an actress, but things just fell in place. In fact, I am still camera shy. But it feels great to be a part of the industry. As I am a spiritual and religious person by heart, I believe God blessed me with all the success.

Life after Vicky Donor

After Vicky Donor's success, life has become super hectic. I have to now juggle between films in Bollywood, South, advertisements, events and appearances. Although, I am glad I am a part of cinema which is the biggest medium of entertainment in India.

The joy of ownership

Mumbai has given me success in my career as well as a fast pace to my life. My current house here is a rented one and though I travel to the South a lot for my films, I would prefer having my own home in Mumbai as well as my hometown Chandigarh.

Chandigarh vs Mumbai

When I was in Chandigarh, we had this different perception of Mumbai - it was a city of dreams. And when I actually arrived here, I realised that everything here was very intimidating and I initially felt lost in its vastness. Chandigarh is a well-guarded, small town, planned and organised. 

Mumbai is very fast. But at the same time, it provides many opportunities and embraces you the way you are. Life is slightly different here, a lot of time goes in travelling. You keep running around here. But I have adapted very well to the city.

South v/s Bollywood

I don't find much of a difference between Bollywood and the South Indian film industry, except the language. It's a great experience to work with southern directors and I am proud to be associated with them. The industry there is well planned, organised and punctual in its functioning.

Everything there is worth appreciating whether in terms of the efficiency or planning. I am currently working with Gautam Menon. In the beginning of my career, I had done a Malayalam film with Prithiviraj. At that time, I found it to be one of the toughest languages ever. 

But I like to face challenges and believe that if you want to achieve something in life, you have to push yourself and give your best. I did just that and now it's not so difficult to do South Indian films.
