Nine Movie Releases In This Week - Hot, Humor, Romance, Biopic and Much More!

As many as nine films are going to be fighting it out at the box-office this week. From famous model aka cricket fan Poonam Pandey to star kid Tanuj, all will try their luck. Then there is multi-starrer laugh riot Bajate Raho.

Nasha: Poonam's big screen ticket is directed by Amit Saxena who directed Bipasha Basu to voluptuous heights in Jism. Will Nasha work the same jadoo and nasha for Poonam? The producers Aditya Bhatia and Surinder Suneja of Ms Pandey's debut film Nasha are leaving no stone unturned to generate renewed interest in her colourful personality.

Love U Soniyo: In comparison Rati Agnihotri's son Tanuj makes his debut but he can't compete with Poonam Pandey in getting attention. After the excessively-publicised debut of producer Kumar Taurani's son Girish Kumar last week, Tanuj has wisely chosen to slip gently into the movie business. Says Tanuj, "It's not an ideal situation for any of the nine films. Speaking for my film Love U Soniyo we've tried to make a good honest film and hopefully our film would stand out in the crowd. "The film also marks the debut of model and beauty queen Neha Hinge.

Issaq: Manish Tiwari's Issaq is a very promising take on Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet which stars Prateik (who is in desperate need of a career resurrection) and debutante Amyra Dastur. It is the season of love as the makers are hoping this goes the Raanjhanaa and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani way ...

Bajatey Raho: Eros International's big-ticket comedy with Bollywood's own Laurel and Hardy Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey joining hands with Tusshar Kapoor for a melee of masti. Adding to the mirth worth of the comedy is costume designer-actress Dolly Ahluwalia who has discovered a kind of stardom after Vicky Donor. Looks like a load of fun. This is director Sushant Shah's third film with Vinay after Challo Dilli and Dasvidaniya.

Buddha: A biopic with newcomer Abhishek Urade in the title role. New director Praveen Damle is at the helm of this modestly budgeted biopic.

Ek Bura Aadmi: New director Ishraq Shah's political drama Ek Bura Aadmi, is a rough, rugged actioner set in the North Indian hinterland. The film has an interesting cast that includes Arunodoy Singh and Kitu Gidwani.

Oops-a-Daisy: Debutant director Jenner Jose's Oops-a-Daisy, has an entirely new cast of unknowns. It takes guts to release something like this on an over-crowded Friday.

Planes: The Pixar-Disney animation film Planes dubbed into Hindi with Priyanka Chopra as the protagonist's voice, is also hitting theatres this Friday.

Main Hoon Surya Singham 2: The dubbed Hindi version of the Tamil Singham's sequel with Surya and Anushka Shetty should find takers among those who love the Singham series. Hari directs.

To add to the woes of the clogged turnstiles this Friday, the new edition of the global smash hit Wolverine franchise also hits theatres this Friday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh feels this overloaded Friday spells disaster for the Indian box-office.

"It is sheer hara-kiri. Doesn't make any business sense. Why this hurry to release so many films? Where are the theatres to accommodate so many films? How many shows can each film get? Why act in haste and repent on Monday? When will we learn from our mistakes? "Taran feels the average movie-goer cannot accommodate so many films in his budget. He adds, "Does the common man have the time, money or inclination to watch so many films? And when films flop we blame everyone except ourselves. "

Why Is The Shiv Sena Displeasure With Poonam Pandey’s Nasha?

The saffron gang pulled down posters of Poonam Pandey’s soon-to-be released debut film citing the posters as vulgar and objectionable. Is the Uddhav Thackeray-led political party giving more mileage to the film with unnecessary controversy?

Poonam Pandey continues to court controversy. This time around, the Kingfisher-model-turned-Bollywood-wannabe has managed to anger the Shiv Sena. The political party’s devoted sainiks are annoyed with the posters of Poonam’s debut movie, the erotic Nasha, directed by Amit Saxena. The party has forced the film’s producer to pull down publicity posters in Lower Parel and Borivali. In an angry protest, sainkis burned posters of the movie at Mahim, claiming that they were offensive.

Akshay Bardapurkar, the general secretary of Shiv Sena Chitrapat Sena maintains that the party finds the poster highly vulgar and derogatory and won’t allow such hoardings to be displayed across the city. Aditya Bhatia, producer of Nasha, claims that he was threatened by the saffron gang. “My outdoor publicist called up to say that Shiv Sainiks had made him pull down the hoarding. They found Poonam’s posture objectionable. But my publicity stills have been approved by the Western India Film Producers’ Association. So I am not going to pull the other hoardings down. I am even thinking of filing a complaint,” said Bhatia.

We at BollywoodLife have always been amused by Poonam’s dare-bare stunts that could easily go unnoticed. Why is the Shiv Sena then taking such drastic measures, thereby unknowingly giving more publicity to the Pandey babe and her erotic drama?

PS: Ms Pandey has finally made it to the headlines, thanks to the outrage of the sainiks. Poonam could not have asked for a better publicity drive than this one, that too, without spending any money! The posters of Nasha may not be seen in public places in the days to come, even as some really vulgar hoardings of other seedy films continue to shine all over the city – is that a joke? You tell us, CelebsLifers!

Nasha trailer: Poonam Pandey Fuels Wild Imagination!

The very first trailer of Poonam Pandey's much awaited debut film Nasha has released at last. The footage reveals the actress seducing a young boy, who seems addicted to her beauty and falls in love with her eventually.

After revealing everything imaginable through her incessant tweets, Poonam Pandey finally has something concrete to show to the whole world – the sizzling promo of her forthcoming movie, Nasha. Directed by the Jism filmmaker Amit Saxena, Nasha is an intriguing tale of love, lust, sins, passion and everything in between (the sheets).

Stealing the thunder by doing what she does best, indulging in a relentless skin show, Poonam has a noticeable presence in the promo. To our surprise the production looks slick and classier than the seedy pictures she posts online. In the trailer we see the babe walking in a semi transparent gown that reveals more than it hides. She slowly approaches the men who either love or lust after her, and what happens thereafter is worth a watch.

‘In the world temptation romance is temporary but addiction is forever’ roars the tagline of the movie. And do we need to say how Poonam has lived up to it absolutely faithfully? Take a look at this steamy promo and tell us if the Pandey pataka has nailed it with her debut venture!
