‘The Voice’ Recap: Danielle Bradbery '16' Performances

With only one week left on ‘The Voice,’ the final five heading to their hometowns to see the people who got them to where they are today — their family and friends. Then, they took the stage for some of the best performances we’ve seen all season.

On June 10, The Voice contestant performed two songs each — one that their coach chose, and one that they chose to dedicate to someone important. So, whose performance brought down the house and was strong enough to get them into the finals?

Team Usher Is A Powerhouse
The night began with an awesome performance from Usher, who debuted his new hit song “Twisted.” Then, it was his artist’s turn.

Michelle Chamuel returned home this week to see her friends and family in Amherst, Mass. and even got to sing at Fenway Park!

Then, she returned to The Voice stage to perform “Clairty” in yet another, consistent performance.

However, her closing performance was the one we loved — she chose “Time After Time,” and dedicated it to none other than her coach, telling him he was like family to her. It was emotional and Usher couldn’t have been more proud.

Blake Shelton’s Duo Gives Best Performance Yet
Coach Blake Shelton is still leading the pact — he’s the only coach with two acts left in the game.

The Swon Brothers headed home to Muskogee, Oklahoma to see their support team, and were given the Rising Star Award at their town’s hall of fame — and even got a personalized message from Vince Gill!

They dedicated their first performance, “Turn The Page” to all the band mates they had ever had. Then, in one of their best performances ever (and most emotional), they sang “Danny’s Song,” impressing all the judges.

Danielle Bradbery’s ‘Amazeballs’ & Emotional Songs
16-year-old Danielle Bradbery headed home to Cypress, Texas to be greeted by her friends and family. She then got to sing at the Houston Astros game!

She took on Tim McGraw‘s ”Please Remember Me,” and before her performance, she got a good luck message from the singer himself! It must have worked, as it was the best we’ve seen ever of Danielle.

Usher flat out said it was “amazeballs.”

“Ya know, amazeballs — that’s exactly what came into my mind as well,” Adam Levine added. “There’s a lot of things that go into singing a vocal really well, but you can’t technically– you cannot sing a song better than you just did that. So, from a technical standpoint — it doesn’t get more proficient than that. It’s unbelievable that you can do this at such a young age. It’s mind-blowing. Amazeballs.”

But it got even better!

Danielle dedicated her second performance of “Who I Am,” to her best friend and her parents — who were getting emotional with the rest of us, in the audience. So, while she was singing, she walked up and sung right next to her parents before embracing them in a hug! Aww.

Sasha Allen Takes On Whitney Houston & Donna Summer
After knocking our socks off with her sexy performance of “Before He Cheats” on June 3, we were ready for another jaw-dropping performance from Sasha Allen. And that is what we got.

First, she returned home to NYC to see her daughter, and it was such a heart warming moment.

She then dared to take on Whitney Houston‘s ”I Will Always Love You,” and dedicated the emotional song to her children. It was an angelic performance; as one of the toughest songs to sing, she completely nailed it.

She followed it up with Shakira‘s choice — a sexy performance of “Bad Girls,” that took everyone back to the 70s. She even got a standing ovation from Usher (who definitely blushes every time he looks at her)!

Adam Levine’s Amber Carrington Takes On Maroon 5 Hit
Coach Adam started with one of the strongest teams in the competition, and just because he’s only got one contender last, that doesn’t mean she can’t win it all!

Amber Carrington headed home to Rockwall, Texas and reunited with her whole family! She even got the key to the city — literally!

She then lit up the stage with both performances — first, she chose Katy Perry‘s “Firework,” and got a good luck message from her, too! The song was dedicated to her best friends back at home!

Then, her coach picked one of his own songs! Amber took on Maroon 5‘s “Sad” — a song that Adam wrote. He told Amber that she sang it better than he does! That’s quite the compliment!
