Iggy Azalea Performs Some VERY Raunchy Moves As She Kicks off The New Classic Tour in Toronto

Iggy Azalea Australian roots have no doubt had some hip-hop purists questioning her credentials as a rapper.

But few could argue with how well Iggy Azalea - real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly - has successfully crossed over into the mainstream music market.

And it seems that Iggy was in the mood to celebrate her success on Friday, as she kicked off her new tour in Toronto, Canada.

The tour is to promote her debut album - confidently titled The New Classic - featuring her latest single Fancy, which has been burning up airwaves in both the US and UK.

In fact, Fancy has just reached number one on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs Chart.

The 23-year-old looked absolutely stunning, too, as she graced the stage dressed in a skimpy dress and heels.

She's certainly been working hard to achieve her current status of headling her own tour.
When the rapper first burst into the music industry with just a mixtape back in 2011, she arrived at a time when fellow female rapper Azealia Banks was making a name for herself with the smash hit 212.

Perhaps inspiring a new wave of female rappers - including Brooke Candy - it looked as though Iggy was just another artist following the trend.

However, having staggered the release of singles such as Work, Bounce and Change Your Life over the last year, Iggy's popularity has been rising considerably.

Describing her debut as 'fairly electronic, like moombahton mixed with hip-hop' it seems her confidence and prowess on stage is finally paying off.

OMG! Iggy Azalea Major NSFW Wardrobe Malfunction At MTV EMA’s In Amsterdam

Australian performer Iggy Azalea flashed a little too much flesh after having a serious wardrobe malfunction at the 2013 MTV European Music Awards. 

It's a big night for the up-and-coming star who has been nominated for both the Best Push and Best Australian Act awards at the prestigious event at the Ziggo dome in Amsterdam on Sunday evening. 

Born Amethyst Kelly, the 23-year-old rapper and model has won critical acclaim for her debut album, The New Classic, which she released in September.

The stunning blonde wore a daring long black dress which had one shoulder strap as well as cut-outs in the midriff section.

The outfit had a giant split up the front which Iggy pulled to one side as she posed for pictures at the event.

At one point, she exposed a little too much as she only had tiny flesh-coloured pants on underneath but she seemed unfazed by the drama.

The Change Your Life hitmaker gave her look a splash of colour with a pair of high strappy red shoes which showed off a tattoo on her foot which read: 'Colour Me Free.'

She wore her blonde tresses in a high ponytail and kept her make-up simple. She had a slick of black eyeliner on and wore a baby pink lipstick. 

Iggy is a huge fan of tattoos and she showed off a large portrait inking on her right arm which is the head of the Roman goddess Venus from Sandro Botticelli's painting The Birth Of Venus.

The not-camera-shy star posed with her tongue out which may have been a nod to Miley Cyrus's controversial tongue-flashing and twerking performance at the MTV VMAs in August.

The pair have a little rivalry going on, ever since Iggy accused Miley of copying her twerking moves. 

She said: I've been doing that onstage for two-and-a-half-years. Miley probably watched my videos and decided to try it.'

The pair may well come face-to-face at the event as Miley is set to perform at the glitzy bash.

Like MIley, Iggy likes to be a little experimental when it comes to her clothing but it's clear she has her head screwed on when it comes to her career. 

She moved to Miami on her own when she was just 16 years old in order to crack the elusive American market.

Her hotly-anticipated LP was scheduled to come out before the end of the year after being pushed back from it's original date of September 2nd.

But Iggy has since revealed a further delay to March 2014.

Ranting to Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper, she said: ‘The official date? F**ked if I know! It's done, it's so depressing to say this but it's the beginning of March, it's so far away but I just have to accept that.’

One Direction were the big winners of the evening, taking home the awards for Best Pop and Best UK & Ireland Act, while Harry Styles received the Best Look accolade.
