People used To Ask Me About Deepika : Ranbir

Ranbir Kapoor- an actor, who has charmed many and became the most sought after star in Bollywood claims to be a boring person in real life. The Kapoor lad talks about his upcoming film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, his ex-flame Deepika Padukone and his journey in B'town in last few years.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is all about craziness. How much craziness is in your life?
I think it's since the time I started working in films. I think films have shown me a way, an aim to target. I hope as it started with films it continues to be there. I think when I started working in films, most of time is spent on sets.

Are you notorious?
I am a very boring person. In school I had done lot of naughtiness. I am 30 now and I already think I am old. I think I am the most mature person in the world.

Do you think even Deepika is mature?
Deepika is a very mature person and even when I met her few years back she was like that. There is a particular thought process that makes you mature. She is mature and level headed.

With Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the focus is more on you and Deepika coming together than the film. How do you see that?

Everyone knows I and Deepika were in relationship. They want to know how do we work together even after break up. However, we approached the film as two actors. Ayan is our common friend and he offered us the film. It's good if people come with curiosity of I and Deepika in the film. When they will come they will know that there is a story. We are acting and that's important for me.

Was romancing Deepika difficult for you on-screen?
There are so much of technicalities in any scene that for me intimate scene and action scenes are no different. It was easier for us because we know each other.

Your relationship stories grabbed headlines. Does it affect your work?
Such stories don't affect my work, but at times when people asked me such questions I feel bad. I think that I work so hard on films, people should ask me about my work rather than my personal life. People used to ask me about Deepika all the time. However, now people ask me about my work also. When people ask me personal questions, I respond but don't like such things.

People call you next superstar. How does that feel?

I am not here to beat anyone. I am here to make a name for myself and I am glad to work with great directors. I don't believe in the term next superstar. Might be they call me next superstar because they want to remind me that I am not one and work hard on my films. I have to work really hard to reach that level.

How do you see your journey in Bollywood?
To be honest, I don't know how I spent five years. Even people today say that I am born with silver spoon, but I am happy that I have worked hard. I am grateful that I got good directors and wanted to make me part of their films. I am charged and have to earn lot of respect.
