Sonal Chauhan made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with Jannat and then took a 3 year break to complete her education. She then returned with Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.
Now, in what will only be the 3rd film in a 5 year old career, Sonal returns in a supernatural thriller 3G with Neil Nitin Mukesh as her co-star.
The actress had to work hard on her body to pull off the bikini scenes in film. Asked if she had to go on a strict diet to get in shape, Sonal says she doesn't believe in size zero or dieting and eats whatever she wants to "I am not a huge fan of size zero. I feel people should focus on being mentally and physically fit. And fit shouldn't translate to starving diets."
"My fitness mantra is eat everything. I don’t believe in dieting. I eat everything. I go to the gym and burn it all out. When you starve yourself, the glow from the face goes away. I just went to a gym regularly and did yoga to get in shape. I also avoided chocolates, cakes and fried food, but that was just during the time of shooting."
On how often she works out in the gym, Sonal said "I would out for 5 days a week for an hour. I think every person deserves that much time for themselves. When we hit the gym, then besides physical fitness, we achieve mental fitness as well. It has been scientifically proven that when you exercise, your body produces happy hormones"
