The trailer of the movie Shahid directed by Hansal Mehta is out and the trailer has impressed none other than Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan.
Aamir posted the trailer on his Facebook page. He wrote: "Hey guys, check out this trailer. I saw the promo and really liked it. Its of a film called Shahid and its directed by Hansal Mehta. Raj Kumar seems to be doing some good work. Love. a."
Starring Raj Kumar, "Shahid" is based on the true story of human rights activist and lawyer Shahid Azmi, who was killed in 2010 by unidentified assailants in his office.
From attempting to become a terrorist, to being wrongly imprisoned under a draconian anti-terrorism law, to becoming a champion of human rights, "Shahid" traces the inspiring personal journey of a boy who became an unlikely messiah for human rights.
"Shahid" has been acclaimed across film fests in the world.
It has traveled to several film festivals including Toronto, Dubai and Mumbai and has wowed audiences the world over.
Mehta won the best director at New York Indian Film Festival and at the Indian Film Festival of Stuttgart.
