Andy Murray's Historic Win At Wimbledon - Britain 77 Years Wait Over!

The player from Scotland beat Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 and said that winning Wimbledon was the pinnacle of tennis and the last game had almost increased that feeling because he had to work so hard to win it.

 British tennis player Andy Murray won Britain's first Wimbledon title after 77 years on 7/7 on Sunday, suggesting that 7 could be a lucky number for the new champion.

According to the Mirror, Murray was also playing in his seventh Grand Slam final, he broke World No.1 Novak Djokovic's serve seven times and was born exactly seven days before his opponent in 1987.


The player from Scotland beat Djokovic 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 and said that winning Wimbledon was the pinnacle of tennis and the last game had almost increased that feeling because he had to work so hard to win it.

The report said that Andy was the first Brit to win Wimbledon in shorts because Fred Perry had won the tournament wearing pants in 1936.

Murray added that it was a shame that he never got to meet Fred in his life despite hearing so much about him over the course of his career.
