Rihanna and Chris have officially moved on from one another, as Chris gears up for his BET Awards performance and Rihanna travels the world on her latest tour. However, a source close to Chris tells there’s still love and respect between the former flames.
It’s no surprise that after so many years of breaking up and getting back together, Chris Brown and Rihanna still have a great deal of love for each other — even though their romantic relationship is officially over.
Chris & Rihanna Respect Each Other
Chris has been spotted back with girlfriend Karrueche Tran, but that doesn’t mean he has any negative feelings toward his ex.
“They’re cool; the respect is there, and so is the love,” a source close to the R&B singer told exclusively about Rihanna and Chris’ relationship today. ”It’s just squashed now.”
But while the respect is there, the source assures us that Chris and Rihanna are not on speaking terms.
“She’s doing her tour and he’s here,” the source explains. “Besides, what’s the point? They already said what they had to say to each other way back when.”
Chris Brown Removes Rihanna From Record
“He’s not featuring Rihanna these days,” the insider told us. ”They don’t talk. They’re done. Nada. Nothing.”
Their “done” status may be part of the reason that Chris decided to eliminate Rihanna from his new album X.
An insider told us why Chris decided to leave it off:
"Just saw the working track list for X yesterday — Rihanna is not on there. Record execs wanted that song on there, but Chris said he would rather not and wouldn’t allow the record to be released unless they took it off. They’re still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit. The record hasn’t been pressed yet, so things can change, but at this point he’s not changing his mind."
